Chameleon Lilac

So much for me not buying any new nail polish for a while! Yesterday I went into Boots and ended up with all 3 of Barry M’s new Chameleon range, plus a free Barry M retro polish 🙂 I mentioned these in my blog a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t wait to try them out. The three colours are Lilac, Pink and Blue, and I tried Lilac out first. With the Chameleon polishes, you apply them first, then where ever you add a clear top coat, they change colour. I love how quick and easy it is to create some nail art with them. It’s also great if you want to wear one colour, then have a quick change to another, no removing your current polish, just add a clear top coat!

To start with, Lilac is a lovely foil silvery lilac, my pictures show two coats, but only one is needed if you’re careful with brush strokes.

I decided to try a few different things out with the top coat, some dots, stripes and painting a full nail, and after a few seconds they started changing colour, into a dark purple, which also has a hint of blue in some lights.

I loved this polish, and I can’t wait to try the other Chameleon polishes out!

Barry M also tweeted today that this week they’re bringing out another FIVE new nail paints, all glitter, and I already want them all!

Today I was in Newcastle for the X Factor auditions, just in the audience, not auditioning! It was also the first time the auditions have been held in Newcastle with the newer audience format. It was really good fun, Dermot O’Leary came on stage at the start, followed by the judges, Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger. It was Nicole’s first day as a permanent judge, and she looked stunning in a emerald green dress. (Although when does she not look stunning?) My only problem was all the waiting around. I expected there to a be a lot of breaks, but not after every act. We saw some good acts, and some not so good ones! Hoping one of the bad ones will make the tv show when it’s aired because of Gary’s comment afterwards!
