My blog is one year old this month!
I can’t believe it’s been one year since I started blogging, it’s gone so quick! A lot of things have changed since I started, and I’ve also learnt a lot, so I thought I’d write a quick post on a few of those things.
Nail growth – when I started blogging, I had very short nails, but now, thanks to OPIs Nail Envy, I have longer, stronger nails.
Acrylic paint – I discovered this just before Christmas, and it’s saved a lot of nail polish from being wasted!
Clean up – This is a lot more recent. Although I’ve always been quite neat when painting my nails, I recently starting using pure acetone to clean around my cuticles, it gives a much more profesional finish.
Lighting/photo quality – I always make sure I take photos next to a big window, or outside (if it’s not too cold!) and I now crop the photos more. Recently I’ve been uploading older pictures directly to wordpress and cropping them as a go!
Stash – My nail polish stash has doubled (plus a few more) since I started blogging, and I recently moved it all into a Helmer.
One thing that is at the top of my list to improve is my cuticles. I’m definitely blaming football for this one, all the time out in the cold, freezing my butt off whilst Sunderland play terribly! They are already a lot better than they used to be, thanks to Burt’s Bees Cuticle Cream, but I don’t use it as much as I should!
I’d also like to thank all my followers (I recently hit 50!) and everyone who’s liked and commented, it means a lot to me, especially when there’s so many amazing nail bloggers out there. Hopefully you will all keep visiting and my blog will continue to grow 🙂
