Lights of Emerald City

Ever since I was little, The Wizard of Oz has been one of my favourite films. I love it so much that I have 3 different collectors edition DVDs! So, I was very excited when I heard about Oz – The Great and Powerful, and then OPIs Oz collection. I ummed and ahhed  for a while about which polish I wanted to try for a while, the plain colours are a little too boring for me, so I new it had to be a glitter. Which Is Witch? is very pretty, but I have a similar Barry M topcoat, leaving it between Lights of Emerald City and When Monkeys Fly, but I was a little disappointed when I saw the size of the gold glitter in When Monkeys Fly, and that a lot of people had issues with curling glitter, so I bought Lights of Emerald City.

Lights of Emerald City is a clear based polish with matte white square glitter, and small iridescent square glitter. Application was a bit tricky, the white squares were reluctant to come out of the bottle, and when applying them they kept dragging to the tip of the nail. I ended up doing one normal coat, then going back and dabbing on the larger glitter.

I tried it out over four different colours to see how they looked, from my index finger to little finger, Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, Models Own Beth’s Blue, Rimmel Green With Envy, and Nails Inc Motcomb Street.

I definitely preferred it over the pastel colours, what do you think? What is your favourite from the Oz collection?
