I haven’t really had much to do today, and after vacuuming and mopping my house I was a bit bored, so I decided to swatch the six polishes I received in Nails Inc‘s last Lucky Dip, which was their Jubilee offer. This post will be picture heavy!
Carlton Gardens is a metallic blue with silver shimmer, it was quite sheer, and I needed three coats.
Culross Street is a bright creamy green, with a glossy finish. I could have gotten away with one coat, but the pictures show two. I think this one would look great with Privileged over it.
New Burlington Place is another Nails Inc polish similar to Garrick Street, and could easily fit in the Model’s Own Beetlejuice collection, and it’s colouring is similar to Pinky Brown. This is possibly my favourite in my lucky dip, with its pink and copper duochrome shimmer, it took two coats and it dried really quickly.
Old Park Lane looks very different on the nail to what it does in the bottle. In the bottle its a lot more silvery, but on the nail it’s a lovely metallic rose gold. It only needed one coat, but the pictures show two and my first coat was a bit messy with the brushstrokes.
Westminster is the polish I used for my half moon manicure the other day, and it does look different to when I layered it over the silver. It’s a creamy purple, with a very glossy finish. I actually don’t have many purples in my polish collection so it’s nice to have another! It needed two coats, the first coat wasn’t very even.
Paddington is a very dark shade of grey, almost black, with a glossy finish. The pictures show two coats.
With my lucky dip, I also ordered the Electric Lane Holographic Top coat, and tried it out over Paddington. Electric Lane is full of fine holographic glitter. I’m looking forward to trying this out over different colours.
Did anyone else get a lucky dip? What did you get in yours?
