I finally got my hands on a holo polish! I went to do my food shopping earlier, and knowing Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer across cosmetics, I couldn’t resist a look. I was actually looking for the new Barry M Jewel Glitters, which they had the spaces for, but no polishes, boo! That was when I spotted the new Holo Nail Polish from 17 (also being the nail polish addict that I am, I picked up Models Own ‘Beach Party’, and Revlon ‘Radiant.’ Who could possibly resist 3 for 2?!) Anyway, because I’ve been after a holo for so long, I just had to try it out as soon as I got home.
This polish applied perfectly, only two coats needed, and unlike a lot of reviews I’ve read about holo polishes, the first coat wasn’t streaky. It dried quickly too, with that lovely shimmering rainbow finish. Now, as I’ve only had it on for a couple of hours, I can’t comment on the staying power, I know holo’s generally don’t last very long before they chip, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that. It’s also the worst possible day for photographing a holo, dark, dreary and raining, so excuse the amount of pictures, it was hard work to get any good ones! If we get any sun tomorrow (I doubt we will!) I’ll try and get a couple more pictures, but it does look so much better in person!
Silver holo is available at Boots for £3.99, and isn’t yet available online.
We got some sun! Yay! Now you can see just how pretty this holo polish is.
