Teal It Like It Is

I’m going to start this post with a bit of a rant! I’ve been loaded with cold for the past couple of days, so I was looking forward to my ASOS delivery – two of the Barry M Royal Glitter collection. Unfortunately, as soon as I retrieved the box from the safe place the courier had left it, I knew at least one of the bottles had smashed as it had leaked through the box. I opened it to find both of the bottles smashed, and polish everywhere, and it stank! Unbelievably, ASOS had put both bottles in a reasonably large box, with just a piece of those large plastic air bubble things (I have no idea what it’s called.) So because the bottles had no protection around them individually, they’d smashed against each other and broken. Surely common sense would tell you that two glass bottles, in a box, would move around a bit, and would smash against each other! The same thing happened with the last polish I bought from ASOS too, Ladbroke Grove, but because it was the only one in the box, it survived. When ASOS sent the replacements, they were also unwrapped, so I’m amazed it didn’t happen again.

Anyway! On to my nails. I was looking forward to talking about the Barry M Royal Glitters, but they’ll have to wait! So here is another from Rainbow Connection, Teal It Like It Is, by Liquid Sky Lacquer. Teal It Like It Is is a thermal scattered holo polish, which is teal when it’s cold,  and light blue when it’s warm. So for me, who usually has freezing cold hands, they were almost always bright teal.  To show off the change I had to stick my hands under the hot tap, and then dip the tips into cold water.

The formula was great, my pictures show three coats, with one coat of HK Girl top coat.

  1. It always sucks when this happens! It happened for me with a shipment of Spellbound Polish (great indie brand) and when I told her I said she didn’t need to send replacements because I was able to save some of the polish and I understand crap happens. She still insisted on sending more which was extremely nice. I’m amazed that’s the only time I’ve gotten broken bottles since I’ve ordered probably 30 or 40 bottles of nail polish through the mail by now.
