Merry Christmas everyone!
I’ve set this post to post itself so I hope it works! I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and I hope you all have a great day!
Here is my Christmas Day nail art, snowflakes, Santa Claus and Rudolph. I used Ciate´Mistress, Models Own Snow White, Barry M Red Glitter and Nude, and the white Models Own nail art pen. For Santa and Rudolph I used acrylic paint.
For the weekend, I did some more Christmas nail art. I’m a little obsessed, and I’ve had my Christmas Day nail art planned for a few days! I didn’t want to do anything too fancy, so I went for a snowman accent finger, and snowflakes. I used Barry M Silver foil effects, Models Own Snow White, Models Own white nail art pen, and acrylic paint for the snowman.
On Saturday, I had a 4.30am wake up, followed by a 6 hour bus journey to Southampton, St. Mary’s being the 39th football stadium I’ve visited. Always nice to tick off a new one, even if it is 300 miles away!
Thankfully, the long journey was worth it, and Sunderland won 1-0, with another goal for Steven Fletcher!
They were a very important 3 points for us, especially with some of the games we have coming up. It also meant we could have a bit of a Christmas party on the bus home, plenty of drinks and food, and songs!
Tomorrow I’m going to catch up with the remaining days of the Mini Mani Month, then relax for Christmas, I can’t wait!
I’m loving Christmas nail art. There’s such a huge variety of things that can be done, the possibilities are endless! A few days ago I just wanted something simple and quick, and I love the red and gold combination, similar to the half moon manicure I did recently. I used Barry M Retro Red, and the limited edition Barry M Gold, after using tape to create a simple Christmas tree.
(Please excuse the messy-ness!)
Lately, I’ve seen a few blogs mention using acrylic paint for nail art, when I was looking for ways to use my nail art brushes, and I found this fab blog, Polish Art Addiction, which has some of the most amazing nail art I’ve seen, including some super cute Disney ones, and a lot were done using acrylic paint. So I had to get myself down to Tesco, and got a set of 12 acrylic paints, for £4.50. Whilst mine won’t be anywhere near as good as Leslie’s, I’m definitely looking forward to experimenting with them.
I spotted this design on Pinterest, by IHaveACupcake whilst I was looking for Christmas inspiration and loved it. So, armed with a few bottles of nail polish, brushes, and my new acrylic paint, I got to work!
Thumb to little finger: Nails Inc Portland Place, Ciate´Mistress, Nails Inc Seven Dials, Models Own Snow White, Barry M Mushroom.
I’ve fallen behind with the Mini Mani Month again so I’ll have to have a big catch up!
For the weekend, I decided to take a break from swatching the Mini Mani Month, and do some Christmas nail art. There’s so many designs that I love on Pinterest, but I wanted to save the very Christmassy ones for nearer Christmas (Santa’s, reindeers etc), and Lily Cooper posted this picture of her nail art on twitter, which I loved, so I chose to do my own snowflakes.
I used Nails Inc Motcomb Street and the Models Own white nail art pen.
My only problem with this mani, is that Motcomb Street is such a dark blue, it looks black, so everyone I was with at the Sunderland match thought I had black and white nails, a big no no for a Sunderland supporter!
