Kiss Me At Midnight is from OPI’s Mariah Carey Holiday collection. It’s a gorgeous blue liquid sand, with silver glitter. The formula was little thick, but I had no major issues. My pictures show two coats.
With one coat of HK Girl.
On Wednesday, I was at friends’ wedding reception. I got a gorgeous dress by Matthew Williamson in the Debenhams sale, which I’m totally in love with, along with some nude shoes and envelope clutch from the Dorothy Perkins sale.
And of course, I had to have some wedding nail art! I used OPI’s Solitaire from the Bond Girls liquid sand collection, Barry M’s white nail art pen, and Solitare with top coat to create the wedding dress, and Barry M 47 Black, and the black and white nail art pens to create the tuxedo.
Solitaire is gorgeous, a white base with silver glitter, it looks like snow! It looks just as pretty with top coat too, and I think it would be a great alternative to a french manicure for a wedding.
On Tuesday, I had a bit of a spending spree on Nail Polish Direct, after finding them on another blog, and discovering that their OPI polishes were only £7.45, nearly £5 cheaper than anywhere else! They also had a 10% discount code on their facebook page, so I couldn’t resist! I have to say, their service is amazing. Not only was delivery free, but it only took two days for my order to arrive! I was expecting it to take at least 3-4 days. I’d ordered 3 OPI polishes, and 3 W7 polishes.
The first polish I tried out was OPI ‘Get Your Number,’ which is a liquid sand polish from the Mariah Carey collection. I love all the shades in the collection! It was a hard choice between Get Your Number, The Impossible and Can’t Let Go, but I seem to gravitate towards blues! I definitely wasn’t disappointed with my choice though. Get Your Number has a lovely blue jelly base, and is packed with different size holo glitter. It was a little sheer, and needed 3 coats, but it dried quickly.
Being liquid sand, it did have that gritty texture that you get with glitter polish, so I thought I’d see what it was like with top coat, and it may even be even better. I can’t decide, it’s just so pretty!
Have you tried any liquid sand polishes? Which is your favourite?
