Today I have the second half of my Nicole by OPI Modern Family collection. As I mentioned in part 1, I currently only have 8 of the collection, but I’m sure I’ll have more in the future!
Basking In Gloria is a gorgeous reddy-pink shimmer. Pictures show three coats.
She’s Lily Something is a star glitter in a sheer shimmery base. I used two coats over four different polishes – (index to little finger) Nails Inc Elizabeth Street, Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, OPI Pedal Faster Suzi, Nails Inc Sugarloaf Sunset.
Stand By Your Manny is one of my favourites, a pretty pastel baby blue with silver shimmer. The formula was very sheer though, I needed four coats for full opacity.
What’s The Mitch-uation? is a dark shimmering blue which looks blurple in some lights. Pictures show three coats.
Nicole by OPI
Today I have 4 polishes from the Nicole by OPI Modern Family collection to show you. There’s 14 overall in the collection, and I have 8 of them, so I thought doing it in two parts would be better than a huge picture spam!
I *LOVE* Modern Family. I originally only started watching it towards the beginning of this year, but thanks to Netflix, I binge watched 4 seasons in about a week and a half. I’ve even re-watched them all whilst waiting for new seasons to start. I just can’t get enough! Phil and Gloria are definitely my favourites, but Lily has some brilliant lines!
Onto the polish!
Back In My Gloria Days is a bright jewel-purple shimmer. The formula was a little sheer, but it built up well. My pictures show three coats.
By the way, does anyone else hate the shape of the Nicole by OPI bottles? They so hard to hold!
A Like-Hayley Story is a bright pink with a subtle gold shimmer. It looks more coral on my photos, but it was definitely a hot pink! The formula was a little patchy, but evened out well. Pictures show three coats.
A Phil’s Paradise is a stunning pewter shimmer. I wasn’t a massive fan of it in the bottle, but I loved it on the nail. My pictures show three coats.
Candid Cameron is a beautiful teal shimmer, which unfortunately is quite brush strokey. Pictures show three coats.

Week 4 of the Colour Me Crazy nail art challenge, green. I’m so impressed with myself that I’ve managed to keep up with this so far and make sure I’m posting regularly too!
The Nailasaurus was my inspiration for this look, and I bravely dug out the striping tape! I very rarely even attempt to use striping tape (or any kind of tape) but striping tape is just so damn fiddly! But I stuck with it, and I was pleasantly surprised when it actually turned out okay! Until I smudged a few bits with top coat, but never mind, I’m counting this as a success!
I used Barry M 2012 Boots Xmas LE, and Nicole by OPI Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, which is a very dark teal.
This polish is the sole reason I bought one of the Nicole by OPI sets I saw in TK Maxx. If you’ve followed my blog for a while you’ll know I love blue polish, and I have wanted this one for so long!
Listen to Your Momager! (I love the name!) is from the Kardashian Kolor Nicole by OPI collection and is royal blue shimmer. It’s gorgeous! I found the formula was a little thin, but it built up nicely. It also stained a little so I would definitely recommend a base coat!
My pictures show three coats with no top coat.
I’m also looking for the Nicole by OPI Modern Family collection, if anyone knows where I can get them in the UK, please let me know!
Back to Reality…TV is another polish from the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor. It’s a dusty periwinkle with a pink shimmer (which my camera refused to pick up.) It was a little sheer, but built up nicely.
My pictures show three coats with no top coat.
A few days ago I was in TK Maxx when I spotted two sets of Nicole by OPI, two sets of four, and five of the eight polishes were from the Kardashian Kolor collection, so at £12.99 a set I couldn’t resist!
Strike A Pose is coral-y red creme, with a glossy finish. My pictures show three coats with no top coat.
Another Nicole by OPI I picked up from the stall at the Metro Centre, which I think is from the Kardashian Kolor collection. A Lit-teal Bit of Love is a bright blue foil, and it is AMAZING. The formula was a little sheer, but it built up well, and I had no issues with staining (with and without base coat.) My pictures show 3 coats with no top coat.
I thought it looked similar to Swimsuit…Nailed It! so I tried them side my side. They are similar but Swimsuit… is slightly darker (and stained more.)
I love both these polishes, so it’s no bad thing that they’re similar!
I’ve really neglected my blog so far this year! Not good, so last night I got swatching, and I have lots to schedule, so hopefully once I have a few scheduled posts I should be able to keep on top of things!
Before I get onto my nails I just want to show off my lovely new iPhone case which I ordered from Casestagram just after Christmas, which has pictures of my Mam, Dad, Gran and cousins, and of course a couple of Sunderland themed ones (not easy finding a picture that fits over the camera!) and me at Platform 9 3/4. I love it so much that I also have an iPad Mini case on the way!
Anyway, on to my nails! I’ve picked up a few Nicole by OPI polishes recently, in TK Maxx, and a stall at the Metro Centre. Hard to resist at £3.99!. One Big Happy Fame-ily is from the Kardashian Kolor collection, or should that be Kollection?! It’s a pretty light lilacy purple, with a silver shimmer. It was a little sheer, but built up nicely. My pictures should 3 coats with no top coat.
I’ve picked up quite a few bottles of the Kardashian Kolor Nicole by OPI collection recently, I’ve seen a few bottles in TK Maxx, and there’s a stall in the Metro Centre which has a lot of them.
All Kendall-ed Up is a bright hot pink, very girly! The formula was great, my pictures show two coats with no top coat.
