Emerald City

I first saw this Models Own polish on All Things Gemma, and I knew I had to get it! Emerald City is a gorgeous glitter polish, green with a clear base. This was three coats.

Yesterday I saw this picture of Una Healy from The Saturdays, looking amazing just a couple of months after the birth of her gorgeous baby Aoife Belle, but I also had shoe envy over her nautical wedges!

So I took to one of my favourite websites, Shop Style, to see if I could find them, or anything similar, and I was successful! Una’s wedges are from Ravel, and are available at Barratts, Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins, £50 down from £60, so I had to treat myself! They’re also the first pair of wedges I’ll have bought, and I’ll be using them as my ‘sensible shoes,’ those times when I’m going out, and don’t want to wear flats, but also don’t want to wear killer heels (which all of mine are!)

Magenta Divine & Disco Heaven

Firstly, I’d like to say my thoughts are with Aston Villa’s Stiliyan Petrov, who has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia. I hope he makes a full and quick recovery.

For my nails this weekend, I’ve gone for a glitter overload (I’ve gone a bit mad for glitters since discovering the foil removal method!), with my new Model’s Own polishes. I haven’t done the contrasting ring finger for a while, so I decided to do that. I chose Magenta Divine, which is a clear polish packed with bold magenta glitter, and hedkandi Disco Heaven for my ring finger, which is also a clear polish, with gold glitter, along with larger blue/green particles of glitter.

As with most glitter polishes, you do end up with quite a ‘bumpy’ feel, but a couple of layers of top coat fixes this 🙂

I also bought a gorgeous pair of Steve Madden shoes yesterday, I nearly talked myself out of them, but a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes right?

I hope everyone has a good weekend, I’m going to Manchester tomorrow for Manchester City v Sunderland. I don’t have too high expectations from this game, but we did manage to beat them at home (even if it was a last minute goal!), but last time we played at City they thumped up 5-0!
